This is my first foray into the world of blogging. The dress in this picture is a reproduction of a bridal gown worn in the 1840's. The shape is achieved by heavy corseting and numerous petticoats, making me rejoice that there are lighter alternatives available today!
After gaining a B.A. Hons in Costume Interpretation at Wimbledon School of Art, I decided to use my skills doing what I really love. Corsetry is one of my passions. I love experimenting with design, shape and construction techniques, using corsetry to create foundation garments beneath gowns, as well as statement pieces.
